Episode Summary:
When
Lucy enrols at Night School on a training course in counselling, Lee
takes advantage of her new-found skill to help patch things up with his
father. But the joint therapy sessions throw up more questions than
answers.
Series Genl Info:"Not
Going Out" follows the misadventures of a slacker named Lee. He hasn’t
had much success in his life and usually performs various odd jobs to
make a living, though he’s fortunate to have a kind landlady and friends
who actually care about him. Lee has a lot of problems in his life,
though through it all, he’s going to keep moving forward. A sixth series
comprising eight episodes was filmed at Teddington Studios from 19th
October to 7th December 2012. Tim Vine did not return to the series. It
began airing on Friday 5th April 2013.In the sixth series, after Tim
Vine quit the series, Tim was written out of the show. In the opening
dialogue of the series, it is explained that he has been given a work
placement in Germany. Daisy continues to hang around with Lucy and Lee,
and her stupidity often lands them in trouble.The first series was
directed by Hardcastle and Wood, the second series exclusively by
Hardcastle, and the third, fourth, fifth and sixth series exclusively by
Wood.Tim forms a relationship with Daisy (Katy Wix), an incredibly
dim-witted young woman. In the third series, Daisy became a regular
character, with her and Barbara in the same daft league. Over the
series, Lucy considers marrying an eastern European refugee until
Barbara and they get hitched. Later on, Lee's father returns to try and
make amends with his son. In the midst of the fourth series, Lee
continues his antics in order to impress Lucy. In the series finale, Lee
get's knocked down by a car and fall into a coma. Eventually, he wakes
up and gets Lucy to go on a date with him.
